For the past two years, we have been hosting remarkable trade fairs that showcase the incredible growth and business of SMEs that use Flutterwave Store and Flutterwave For Business. But now, we’re shaking things up by throwing a fashion show into the mix, called #BattleOfTheBrands.
Picture this: brands going head-to-head, all vying for glory and a fantastic prize. The twist? They have to interpret the theme, “Festival of Colours”. We want to see how well these brands can interpret and express this theme with the Flutterwave brand colours and communicate it effectively.

The Nitty-Gritty Details
We’re going to have a fantastic lineup of 10 fashion brands ready to strut their stuff. And guess what? we’re all about inclusivity, everyone’s welcome to the show!
Our judges? Oh boy, are they something! Three fashion connoisseurs with an eye for style will have just 10 minutes to make some tough calls. The pressureeee!
The show is set to kick off at 3:00 PM and wrap up at 5:00 PM, making it a jam-packed two hours of fashion frenzy during the trade fair.
Each brand has about 10 minutes in the spotlight, and they’ve got to showcase six unique looks. Can you say challenge accepted?
Judging Criteria – What to Expect
Now, here’s where it gets interesting. Our esteemed panel of judges will be keeping a close eye on five key criteria:
Creativity of Designs: We’re talking out-of-the-box thinking, jaw-dropping designs, and a dash of creativity that’ll wow all of us.
Adherence to Theme Direction: “Festival of Colours” is the theme of the challenge. How well can your brand translate this theme into your designs? There are no restrictions on how you interpret it, we’re looking for some out-of-the-box thinking.
Quality Control: Now let’s get technical, beauty is one thing, practicality and quality are another. We’re going to be on the lookout for no loose threads, and no messy seams – it’s all about those finishing touches that make an outfit stand out.
Fitting to Models: Fit is everything in fashion. They need to make sure those outfits have the right fitting.
Authenticity/Originality of Styles: Think unique, think unconventional, think different. We’re on the lookout for styles that stand out from the crowd.
Prizes Galore
Now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for – the prizes!
Grand Winner: A whooping NGN 1,000,000 cash prize, plus an exclusive Swag Box, some merchandise and lots more. Now that’s what I call a win!
Runners-Up: Even if you don’t get the top spot, there’s still a reason to smile and money to win. The first runner-up gets N300,000, whilst the second runner-up takes home N200,000.
