In light of our promise to #KeepTheLightsOn for businesses – a campaign we launched when the pandemic hit, we are offering to support businesses affected by the recent Lagos unrest.

We are partnering with Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), and companies led by Endeavor Entrepreneurs to create a fund for businesses that have been affected.

Here are 4 need-to-know facts about our decision to support this initiative:

We’ve donated 5 million Naira to this initiative

We have donated the sum of 5 Million Naira to the Small Business Fund, to help small businesses rebuild in light of the recent looting and destruction. We understand what it means to build; the difficulty, the emotional effort and the financial strain. We also cannot imagine how these people feel, seeing their hard work looted and/or burnt down. We want to tell you that we are always with you and will always stand by you. If you’d like to support these businesses, you can click this link to donate from anywhere in the world.

All beneficiaries get a discounted processing fee and Flutterwave store from us

When lockdowns came into effect at the beginning of the year, we built the Flutterwave Store as a show of support to the many small businesses who could no longer sell in person. Now, we are offering each of the affected businesses, the opportunity to create a Flutterwave Store so they can sell seamlessly online while rebuilding.

We are also discounting the processing fee for them for the next 3 months – this means that if you were affected, you only need the funds to create or purchase your products. You no longer need to build a physical structure before you start selling. Register here

We are giving $5,000 worth of cloud hosting to each tech-enabled SMEs/Startups

We support numerous tech enabled startups. For most of them, we are like an embedded team. We know their story and they know ours. But unfortunately, some have been caught in the middle of the recent unrest. We are here to support you; to build back better. Cloud hosting and storage is a major source of cost for startups and we are offering to take that burden off their shoulders. Register here to stand a chance to benefit.

It’s in our DNA to support small businesses

Small businesses are the lifeblood of the nation and we are committed to seeing more growth in the sector. Our support for SMEs across Africa is a part of our DNA and this post-curfew initiative is a part of a long history of help extended to small businesses in the recent past. We have also partnered with Visa, Google and other brands to support small businesses with free courses, ad spend and more.
