We’re always looking to create new streams of connection with people across Africa, so rewind to 2020 when we first created a podcast called the Wave Podcast. It was a short stint, but it was a perfect way to test the audio-content format as a connective tool and see if we could balance sharing knowledge about the African tech ecosystem with personality and shared humor.
We’ve been reminiscing about our podcast days and realized that there’s no better moment than now to dust off our microphones.
Bringing Back The Wave Podcast!
The Wave Podcast is back for its second act. When we started recording the podcast again, we had the same goal: speak to the people behind some of the most important innovations in African tech and learn from their experiences.
Initially, it was organized as an educational series where experts would teach us to be experts too (we even considered relaunching the podcast under a different name). As we recorded episodes, it became clear that the magic of the podcast was in the moments when these experts let their guard down and spoke like this was home—essentially, riding the Wave of the energy in the studio.
Every episode we recorded was refreshing, filled with laughter, knowledge, and full-on personality. We had fun, learned a lot, and we know you’ll do the same.
