In this blog post, we share two (2) updates designed to enhance the security of your Flutterwave account and ensure a safe and seamless experience. These updates will be live on your Flutterwave account from December 1 2023.
1. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Is Now Required To Log In
As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding your account, 2FA is now mandatory to access your account. Every time you log into your Flutterwave account, a One-Time PIN (OTP) is sent to your registered email address and phone number. If you have already enabled an Authenticator app on your dashboard, the OTP is generated through the app, but if you haven’t, you can use this guide to enable it.
It’s important to note that you can also select your preferred option for receiving the OTPs, either through the Authenticator app or your email address and phone number.
This update is an additional layer of security to prevent unauthorized access, thereby enhancing the protection of your account.
2. Securing Collaborations With 2FA
Collaboration is a key aspect of many businesses, and we want to ensure that it remains seamless and secure on your Flutterwave account. 2FA is now required to add a collaborator to your Flutterwave account. Collaborators can assume various roles, such as customer support, operations, developer, and more, each with specific permissions.
