To meet this commitment, from February 1st 2023, Barter will be pausing some services to revamp its value proposition and ensure that its service is the best it can be. 

During this time, we will be focusing on refining Barter, improving its user experience, and ensuring the highest levels of security and customer service. Upon completion of this revamp, Barter will be able to offer you an unparalleled experience . Barter is also in the process of developing partnerships with several partners who will provide users with access to multiple new features to enable users to have a more enjoyable experience. With the upcoming revamp, Barter is poised to become the go-to platform for freelancers, remote workers and digital entrepreneurs looking for a secure and convenient way to manage their finances.

What You Can Still Do:

  • Transferring funds from your Barter balance to bank accounts.
  • Bill payments and Airtime purchases from your current Barter balance. 

What You Can’t Do:

  • Fund your Barter balance.
  • Carry out Barter-to-Barter transfers.


We are confident that when we relaunch, Barter users will be able to take advantage of Barter’s new and improved platform. We understand that this pause may be disruptive for some of our users; however, we believe the new platform will be worth the wait.

Additionally, during this time, Barter will strive to make its platform even more user-friendly, intuitive, and secure. This will be accomplished by adding more features and services, such as multi-currency accounts and payment options that will allow you to send money to multiple countries.
