Sending and receiving payments across countries can be a major hassle for businesses, especially when their customer base is out of their country of operation. A number of things make it difficult – disparities in conversion rates across countries, high charges and an overall less than pleasant experience for you or your customers. Considering this, Flutterwave has partnered with Currencycloud, a leader in providing B2B embedded cross-border solutions, to make this easier. This partnership will expand our services and client reach to Europe and the US.

Banks, fintechs and businesses everywhere can make bigger, better and bolder leaps with Currencycloud. Currencycloud gives them the capability to move money across borders and transact globally in multiple currencies; and fast. Being experts at what they do, their technology makes it easy for clients to embrace digital wallets and to embed finance into the core of their business – no matter what industry they’re in.

Since 2012, Currencycloud has processed more than $100bn to over 180 countries, working with banks, financial institutions, and fintechs worldwide, including Starling Bank, Revolut, Penta, and Lunar. Based in London with offices in New York, Amsterdam, Cardiff, and Singapore, Currencycloud works with partners including Visa, Dwolla, GPS, and Mambu to deliver clients’ simple, clear cross-border infrastructure solutions. They are regulated in the UK, Canada, the US and the EU.

How does this partnership benefit Flutterwave merchants?

What this means for Flutterwave merchants is that they can now accept payments outside of their local currency, through unique virtual accounts. Through this, merchants will also be able to receive money quicker and in larger amounts. Furthermore, the multi-currency wallets will ensure total transparency to foreign exchange charges and best rates for international payments.

David Heitzmann, Vice President of Sales & General Manager of North America at Currencycloud, commented: “Our goal at Currencycloud is to reimagine the way money flows around the world. The partnership with Flutterwave is a great example of this, and we are thrilled to be able to support Flutterwave in their mission.”

The Currencycloud API has been incorporated into Flutterwave’s solution and is available today to new and existing customers.
